The Ohio State University men’s volleyball team is heading into the 2017 NCAA Championships after dominating Grand Canyon University in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (MIVA) Tournament Finals on Saturday the 22nd in Columbus. The Buckeyes controlled the Antelopes literally from the beginning – to the end; 25-16, 25-22, 25-11. This produced the 2017 MIVA Tournament trophy for The Ohio State – the 16th MIVA Tournament crown in school history (incidentally, a league high).
The Ohio State University men’s volleyball team now is on its way for a repeat for the national Title. They were chosen in the selection process as the NCAA’s Tournament’s top seed. The NCAA men’s volleyball committee released the six-team bracket yesterday on Sunday April 23, setting up St. John Arena to host five matches from May 2-6 to determine the 2017 national champions.
