Clearly, Niall Logue wants the ball. Give it to him.
Ohio State won its second consecutive game on Monday to go to 3-1 for the season with a 2-0 shutout of Wright State.
Northern Irishman Niall Logue provided the Ohio State’s initial, and winning goal at the 12:32 mark in the match. Abdi Mohamed assisted on the goal. Near the end of the match (87:25), Joshua Jackson-Ketchup scored OSU’s second goal. assisted by Abdi Mohamed. Young Mr. Mohamed was scoreless this game, but clearly, with two assists, he was involved in the offense.
Goalie Siegfried Parker recorded his third shutout of the season with three saves. Siegfried had some help, as you’d expect. Some from his defense (2 blocks) and some from defensive pressure/his opponent (5 wide/high).
Offensively, the Buckeyes were very efficient with their shot attempts. Ohio State attempted 12 shots, their second consecutive game in double digit shooting.
For the season, the Buckeyes are scoring on 16% of their shots, far above their historical 10%. By the same measure, opponents are scoring on 6% of their shots versus 10% historically. Things seem to be clicking at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. Now, we take the show on the road.
The Buckeyes finally hit the road with an away match this Friday, September 8th, in Evanston, IL against Northwestern. The match begins at 8:00 ET.
