Tour golf, not the kind that you and I play, is beginning to heat up.We currently have Buckeyes Ryan Armour and Bo Hoag in action; to whit.

PGA Tour

The Sony Open just concluded this past Sunday and Ryan Armour shot a 272 (-8) to finish T-39. Ryan had three consecutive rounds of 67 (aggregate -9) going into the final round, but a +1 71 stopped his charge.

His opening round had this – a very short putt for eagle. That is really making the game look easy.  And really, when you look at his scorecard, he did make it look easy. His “oops” hole was in the final round, where on the 14th hole Ryan had the dreaded “up in 3, down in 3” for a double bogey. The other 71 holes were played quite well. Ryan drove the ball well, hit a lot of good iron shots and putted well. That’s a good four days.

Ryan has improved his position in the FedEx Cup standings from 16th to 14th. So far, so good.

Meanwhile, at The Bahamas Great Exuma Classic at Sandals Emerald Bay tournament, the final round is in progress. At the moment, Bo Hoag is in 6th place. He’s having a good tournament in a good setting. Again, so far, so good.
