Ohio State lineup

This is even better than I thought. Coaches Moseley and Smith decided to get all ten Buckeyes on the course in competition. Rather than compete as Individuals, they assigned them (Kevin, Grant. JonErik, Jack, Justin) as the “B” squad.

A Team

Will Grimmer
Daniel Wetterich
Caleb Ramirez
Will Voetsch
Laken Hinton

B Team

Kevin Stone
Grant Engle
JonErik Alford
Jack Mancinotti
Justin Wick

Recap

Daniel Wetterich blistered the Scarlet Course in round 2 with a 64, one stroke off the course record to lead a front nine surge and a late back nine clamp down to led the Buckeyes to a four stroke margin over Michigan State. The Buckeye ‘A’ Team turned in a score of 278 (-6) to pull away from the Spartans to claim the victory.

I think there were a few highlight moments in the final round. Clearly, Daniel’s near record round comes to mind. Then, Will Voetsch’s sub-par round of 69 (-3) deserves mention in its own right.  Finally, Jack Mancinotti’s eagle on the 560 yard par-5, 4th hole was a highlight moment.

For the round, the Buckeyes were led by Daniel Wetterich’s extraordinary 64 (-7). Will Voetsch shot an impressive 69 (-2), Laken Hinton a 72 (+1) and Caleb Ramirez a 73 (+2) to complete the team scoring. Will Grimmer had a 76 (+5).  Daniel finished the tournament as medalist at -9, finishing 6 strokes better than James Piot (MSU) and Peter Knade (Maryland) in the 77 player field. Will V finished T-8th, Caleb T-21st, Laken T-30th and Will G T-53rd.

Meanwhile, the Buckeye ‘B’ Team turned in a score of 290 (+6) to finish in 10th place.

For the round, these Buckeyes were led by Kevin Stone’s 70 (-1). JonErik Alford shot a 72 (+1), Jack Mancinotti’s 74 (+3) and Justin Wick a 74 (+3) to complete team scoring . Grant Engle had an 81 (+10). Kevin finished T-11th, Jack T-27th, Justin T-57th, JonErik 70th and Grant T-76th.
